Systematically, I drink
To the monstruous lies
And the creepy looking spies
Under my window
I toast the return
Of the body snatchers
Hoping they get here in time
To fix the next fucker in line
To the disturbances in waiting
Alight in the shadows
I drink to my privacy
Being raped and to
The reality of rat poison
Being prescribed as blood thinner
Systematically, I drink
To the lack of feeling
And this excess of reasoning
To brain tumors from cellphones
I drink joined at the hip
With famillies adopting
From foreign lands
Sawed-off shotguns
It is utterly systematic
That I tilt and indulge
Yet the cup is forever full
While meteors streak
Abused children shreak
Under seven separations
Called human religions
Life is anything but fair
Not fair at all, some say
So, systematically I drink
To the power
Of positive binging
And to the blood
Crawling up your
TV screen tonight
There are times when
I scream sometimes basta!
But mostly
I just pour another drink.
